A classic Southern Rhône powerhouse with both polish and rustic charm, the 2022 Les Cailloux opens with a complex bouquet of leather, dry earth, candied orange peel, licorice and violet-tinged red berries, showing both intensity and elegant restraint. On the palate full-bodied with juicy cherry and raspberry fruit framed by savory spice, peppercorn and garrigue herbs, while fine-grained tannins and balanced acidity carry a long, silky finish with mineral hints that make it both approachable now and ready to evolve with a few years of cellaring. The blend is Grenache-dominant with Mourvèdre, and Syrah contributing depth and spice. Pairs well with steak, lamb, duck, and wild boar.
