Description:

A magnificent and classically styled Rioja, the 2016 Prado Enea opens with complex of ripe red cherry, blackberry and dried plum layered with notes of cedar, tobacco leaf and sweet baking spice. On the palate it is full-bodied yet beautifully balanced, combining concentrated red and dark fruit with refined, well-integrated tannins and vibrant acidity. Nuances of leather, cocoa, vanilla and subtle earthy undertones unfold with time, reflecting the wine’s extended ageing in oak and bottle. The finish is long, capturing both the richness of the vintage and the timeless character of traditional Rioja. Pairs well with steak, lamb, duck, manchego cheese, hamburger, and Jamon Iberico.
