Description:

A beautifully traditional Barbaresco from the family-run Ca’ del Baio estate, this 2021 Vallegrande shows the refined elegance Nebbiolo is known for. In the glass it’s garnet red with powerful aromatics of ripe red fruit, dried flowers and underbrush framed by hints of spice and earth, reflecting the clay-marl soils of its Treiso vineyards. On the palate it’s dry and harmonious with smooth, velvety dark cherry and raspberry flavours balanced by vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins, leading to a warm, long finish that shows both structure and approachability. Pairs well with lasagna, pizza, beef, and duck.
