This approachable Bordeaux red from Château Lamothe-Vincent’s Réserve line is a crowd-pleasing example of classic right-bank style, built on a Merlot-dominated blend with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2023 vintage shows ripe, juicy fruit balanced with savory structure. Medium ruby, the nose is cassis, cherry and blueberry, lifted by hints of violet and spice with a gentle touch of oak and mineral nuance. On the palate it’s medium-to-full bodied with smooth, ripe tannins and balanced acidity, delivering generous dark fruit and subtle savory spice. The finish is round and lingering with a pleasant fruit-driven persistence. Pairs well with pork, roasted chicken, and beef.
