Craggy Range Syrah Gimblett Gravels 2022 is a signature Syrah from one of New Zealand’s most prestigious wine regions, the stony, sun-warmed Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay. It shows a deep red colour with a vibrant purple hue and generous aromatics of crushed raspberry, violet floral notes, gentle white pepper and sweet baking spice. On the palate it is medium-to-full-bodied with juicy red and dark plum flavours, savoury hints of black tea and clove, silky tannins and elegant acidity that carry through to a long, refined finish — a wine that combines fruity intensity with classic Gimblett Gravels spice and minerality. Pairs well with veal, lamb chops, and roasted duck.
