Description:

The 2014 opens with inviting aromas of ripe red fruit, dried cherry and raspberry, intertwined with vanilla, cedar, tobacco and hints of sweet spice from long barrel and bottle maturation. On the palate it’s medium- to full-bodied with refined, silky tannins and balanced acidity, delivering nuanced layers of earth, leather, clove and a touch of dried fig that carry through a long, harmonious finish. With age, the fruit has softened and integrated beautifully with the savory, tertiary complexity a great example of Rioja’s traditional style. Pairs well with roasted lamb, wagyu, Manchego cheese, and grilled pork.
