A refined and beautifully textured Chardonnay, the 2024 Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay opens with aromas of white peach, lemon curd and ripe pear layered with notes of toasted hazelnut, brioche and subtle flinty minerality. On the palate it is medium-bodied and elegantly structured, combining vibrant citrus and orchard fruit with bright acidity and a creamy, well-integrated oak influence. Nuances of grapefruit, wet stone and baking spice unfold through the long, precise finish. Pairs well with roast chicken, lobster, creamy seafood dishes and aged Comté cheese.
