A finely tuned California white blend, the 2023 Massican “Annia” opens with aromatic notes of white flowers, citrus blossom and yellow apple layered with hints of honeydew melon, pear and fresh herbs. On the palate it is light- to medium-bodied, with bright citrus and orchard fruit with crisp, mouthwatering acidity and a sleek, mineral-driven backbone. Flavors of Meyer lemon, white peach and grapefruit unfold alongside nuances of chamomile, wet stone, almond and a subtle saline edge. The finish is clean, dry and persistent, with lingering floral and stony undertones. Pairs well with oysters, sushi, fritto misto, fresh salads and light seafood dishes.
