Vasse Felix Filius Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a contempory take on Margaret River Cabernet — a fruit-forward yet structured red dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Malbec to enhance richness and vibrancy. On the nose it shows expressive aromas of bright blackcurrant, blood plum, and dark berries layered with savory notes of dried herbs, bay leaf, graphite and subtle spicy charcuterie complexity. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied with juicy dark fruit framed by fine, dusty tannins and balanced acidity, complemented by hints of mushroom earthiness, cocoa and gentle oak spice, finishing dry, long and elegant.
