A bold Bordeaux-style red blend from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, the 2021 Black Market “The Syndicate” opens with aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and cassis layered with notes of cedar, tobacco and baking spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, combining concentrated dark fruit with velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a rich, polished texture. Small notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and dried herbs unfold through the long finish. An excellent match for grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, roast lamb or aged cheddar.
