A beautifully expressive mountain red from Méntrida, the 2021 Bodegas Jiménez-Landi “Pielago” opens with aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry layered with notes of violet, Mediterranean herbs and subtle spice. On the palate it is elegant and refined, combining vibrant red fruit with silky tannins, fresh acidity and a delicate mineral backbone. Nuances of white pepper, forest floor and dried herbs unfold through the long, graceful finish. An excellent match for grilled lamb, roasted vegetables, Iberico pork or aged Manchego, whose savoury flavours complement the wine's freshness and complexity.
