Description:
A lovely value expression from the Perrin family’s legendary Beaucastel vineyards just outside the Châteauneuf-du-Pape zone, this 2021 Coudoulet de Beaucastel delivers both elegance and richness. Deep ruby in the glass, the nose opens with ripe black-cherry and wild strawberry fruit, intertwined with spice, thyme and a hint of licorice. On the palate it’s full-bodied with plush dark fruit, velvety tannins and balanced acidity, finishing long with layers of garrigue herbs, pepper and subtle mineral energy — a great example of Rhône personality at an accessible level. Pairs well with beef, pork, and spiced lamb.
