A refined and expressive Margaux, the 2020 Château Durfort-Vivens “Le Hameau” opens with aromas of blackberry, cassis and black cherry layered with notes of violet, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, combining vibrant dark fruit with silky tannins and fresh acidity that lends elegance and precision. Nuances of graphite, cocoa and earthy minerality unfold through the long, polished finish. Pairs well with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast and aged Comté.
