2022 Château Grand Village opens with aromas of black cherry, plum and cassis intertwined with notes of violet, graphite, cocoa and subtle spice. On the palate it is full-bodied with ripe dark and red fruit with fine tannins and vibrant acidity that brings freshness and precision to the wine’s rich core. Nuances of licorice, cedar, black pepper and earthy mineral undertones unfold gradually. The finish is long and powerful, with lingering notes of dark berries, cocoa and saline minerality. Pairs well with roast lamb, duck breast, beef tenderloin, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
