The 2023 Matetic Vineyards Corralillo Carmenère opens with aromas of blackberry, ripe plum and dark cherry, layered with notes of black pepper, dark chocolate and savoury spice. On the palate it is rich and well-balanced, combining concentrated dark fruit with earthy complexity, supple tannins and refreshing acidity. Nuances of roasted herbs, subtle oak and warming spices with a long, intense finish. An excellent match for grilled beef, slow-braised short ribs, roasted peppers or aged cheeses.
