2020 Grandes Vinos Anayón opens with aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum layered with notes of violet, vanilla and sweet spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and well structured, combining concentrated dark fruit with polished tannins and balanced acidity. Nuances of cocoa, licorice and subtle toasted oak unfold through the long, smooth finish. An excellent match for grilled lamb, slow-braised beef, roasted pork or aged Manchego, whose rich and savoury flavours complement the wine’s depth and structure.
