A bold and concentrated Barossa Shiraz, the 2019 Grant Burge Filsell Shiraz starts with aromas of blackberry, plum and ripe raspberry layered with dark chocolate, mocha and sweet baking spice. On the palate it is full-bodied and richly textured, combining dense black fruit with firm yet polished tannins and impressive depth. Notes of licorice, vanilla and black pepper unfold through the long, velvety finish, reflecting fruit sourced from old vines and careful oak maturation. Pairs well with beef Wellington, grilled ribeye, slow-braised short ribs and roasted lamb.
